Carriage Hill Farm is the home of Dennis and Gina Essink along with their sons Brandon and John. Our farm is located in Syracuse, Nebraska which is in the southeast corner of the state. We have owned and raised commercial cattle for 36 years and have expanded our herd to include the Lowline breed. Not only are we Lowline and Commercial cattle breeders, we raise Morgan horses, and Show quality Boer and Pygmy goats. We all have a strong love for animals and we take great pride in providing an outstanding quality animal. Our sons are the ones that are responsible for getting us hooked on the Lowline cattle. The boys wanted to show cattle in 4-H but did not want to be drug around by a 1400 pound calf. Brandon saw his first Lowline and fell in love with her. He just had to have her. We have purchased a few Lowline heifers and a fullblood bull to get ourselves started. We have also gone to our commercial herd and picked some of our best heifers and have decided to breed them to our fullblood bull to provide a few ½ bloods for sale also. We have had tremendous success in developing our herd, and are very proud of our accomplishments. Our heifers have done very well at the Midwest Junior Lowline show, Iowa State Fair and the Nebraska State Fair. We have Percentage, Purebred, and Fullblood Lowline Cattle and have successfully raised outstanding breeding stock to offer for sale and to retain ourselves in order to expand our growing herd. We currently offer commercial beef for your freezer and will offer Lowline beef in the near future.
